The North Carolina Community Foundation will unveil an online process for the community grantmaking cycle in mid-February. The move will greatly simplify this far-reaching grants program conducted by our affiliate foundation partners across the state.

Growing a garden – and so much more

A community garden on the grounds of the historic Rosenwald School in Asheboro grows flowers, food and friendship. The Trees Asheboro project, which receives funding from the Community Foundation of Randolph County, has proven to be a life-changing experience for a diverse group of senior citizens, neighborhood youth, staff and volunteers.

Morrison Scholarship a tribute to love, learning

Cora Bond Morrison did not have an easy childhood in northeastern North Carolina. Like many who grew up during the Great Depression, the Bond family took extra steps to make ends meet, turning their East King Street home in Edenton into a boarding house during the 1920s and 30s.
